TPBC is flying high on CANADA DAY!

We live in a land that VALUES ethical and human rights… hard work, innovation and adaptability… respect and consideration… caring for others… working with our friends and neighbours, and yes, also those who share views other than our own… doing our very best in the moment… putting more in than we take out… and much more…
 

Today we support our leaders as they lean in to help us make Canada even better. For TPBC this includes enhancing the profile of engineering and applied science technologists and technicians such that students, teachers, parents and other influencers offer up the option of pursuing a career in technology. Techs contribute an estimated $12 Billion to the BC economy and are a critical part of the team that conceives, designs, constructs, inspects, tests, and maintains the world around us. Rolling up our sleeves we commit to working with government, NGOs and employers as we address what is quite arguably a crisis in the number of graduates from two-year technologist programs, where stats show that tech grad levels have flat-lined over the past 15 years. There is an urgent need to get on top of this just as governments have invested in trades training. TPBC commits to investing in this and other matters tied to the technology professions. We will do our bit to make BC and Canada better.
