The Certified Economic Development Professional of British Columbia (CEDP.BC) certification prioritizes evaluating practical skills over rigid educational requirements. CEDP.BC Grandfathering
BCEDA will allow applications from existing EcDs and CEcDs for Certification with no requirement for exams or other certification requirements from September 1, 2024, until May 12, 2025. Following the CEDP.BC designation, “grandfathered” CEDP.BCs must meet BCEDA recertification requirements (see Section 4 of the CEDP.BC Certification Manual).
